I wanted to put in writing what I have told you recently on the phone: My husband and I could not be happier with Antonello, our schutzhund Three German Shepherd. He has far surpassed all of our expectations, and in a short period of just a few weeks, has become a trusted, faithful, and surprisingly loving part of the family.

Today I am at home by myself, with about eight workmen (who are virtually all strangers to me) outside doing various tasks on our very large property. Before Antonello, I would have been nervous, making sure every door and window of our large home was locked, and afraid that I might have to open the door to one of them to answer a question. I would be eagerly waiting for the workmen to leave, and for my husband to come home from work in order to feel secure again in my own home.

Now, I am truly relaxed and confident. Antonello follows me through the house, keeping an eye on me wherever I go. I just took him out to take a "potty break", and as one of the workmen walked by, Antonello watched him intently and let out a short bark...just a little warning ...which startled the workman a bit, and which I know the others took note of ...there is no way these guys are going to approach me or the house with ill intent. Anto made his presence known.

I have the confidence of knowing that I have a body guard...and the best part is that a real love relationship has developed between us, and even between him and our mild-mannered, even wussy golden retriever. I have come to trust Antonello completely with him. The two dogs play together, and although Anto is capable of doing serious harm in the appropriate circumstance, he is gentle and "brotherly" to our golden.

When Antonello was brought into our home as a new family member, I thought he would be "all business". I thought he would be sort of intense and distant, but he is as affectionate and loving as any other dog when he's not "on the job". He is a true companion for me. A companion who will protect me wherever I am, whether I am loading groceries into the car or alone on our property. He is all that you said he would be and more, and worth every penny.
Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful animal...you
are quite a matchmaker!
