A word from our founder, Howie Rodriguez:

If I haven’t done so already, let me welcome you to California K9 Academy.  Some of you know me as the founder of CA K9, and others, well, I think of us more like family.  As this year draws to a close I want to be the first to let you know of some great news.

The time has come for me to welcome on board a successor. This intention has been latent for many years, but the caliber of person needed to take charge of California K9 Academy is not easy to come by. Fortunately, over a decade ago, I happened to cross paths with somebody that I already envisioned back then, as having what it takes.

I would like to announce Yaiza Magdalena as the new Owner and Director of Operations of California K9 Academy. She has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with me for many years and honestly, there is no one else on the planet I would trust more with the future of the company. This transition has been in the works for the last few years, and our mutual intention had always been to continue to provide you with the highest quality of service (with the barest minimum of disturbance) as the business changed hands.

Yaiza, as you know, is board certified, incredibly qualified, and a member of practically every organization in our industry.  The fact that I trust her is one thing. The fact that many of you already trust her is even greater. Actually, it is likely that she has already been your point-of-contact and liaison for the last decade, and so then like me, you’ve seen her in action and understand just how capable a successor she actually is.

It has been extremely inspirational working with such great people and equally wonderful animals, and I want to thank you all.  As many of you know, I have seen many areas of this industry, from having been a seven-time world championship competitor (and captain), to the long hours devoted to actually founding this business, or even to the countless hours spent with the animals themselves, it has all been rewarding; every aspect of it. And I will carry those memories with me for many years to come.

It is important that you know and trust that although I will no longer be personally serving you, all of the same world-class professionals you have come to rely on will still be meeting your needs just as closely as ever.  This means that there will be no changes in our style, our expertise, or in the quality of services that you have received for years.

In the way that we care for our close family, California K9 Academy will continue to care for you and your dogs, as our extended family.

Sincerely

Howard Rodriguez.
